I’m Helen Gulston

I originally trained as a professional dancer and since have been fortunate enough to perform in shows around the world and in London’s West End. Through my dance training and working professionally at that level, it gave me a deep understanding of movement, discipline and the incredible potential of the human body.

The physical demands that come with performing taught me how to prevent and manage niggles and injuries. Navigating rehabilitation led me to develop a much deeper awareness of my own body and inspired me to learn more about it on a deeper anatomical level. Through that process, I discovered the transformative power of Pilates, not just as conditioning, but as intelligent, mindful movement that supports the longevity of my performing career, but more importantly my day to day life!

Inspired by this journey, I trained with Body Control Pilates and qualified as a fully certified mat work teacher.


My Approach

My teaching blends my performance background with a strong focus on injury prevention and building sustainable strength for every body.

I am passionate about helping clients move with knowledge, awareness and confidence  whilst feeling strong in a way that supports their everyday lives. Whether that’s returning from injury or simply moving and feeling better!

Group Classes

Experience a supportive group class designed to help you move with confidence and ease. My classes suit a range of abilities, whether you’re a beginner or have experience. Classes are held in a welcoming environment, giving you the opportunity to practice alongside others while still receiving guidance throughout.
